There is always something new happening at Pump Hill Farm. Whether its new arrivals for the animals or the changing scenery as the seasons come and go.
At the moment there is a definite feeling that Spring is in the air. The grass is growing at a rapid rate, the blossom is on the fruit trees and the animals can finally enjoying lying in the sunshine rather than sheltering from the rain.
We have had two lambs born over the past few weeks. The first was born to Chloe and is a little girl we have named Snowball (for obvious reasons).
The second, another little girl born to Cindy who has been named Rosie. Both are absolutely adorable and love to play together. It obviously brings out the playful side in the sheep having some lambs around as they can all be seen most evenings having a mad half hour bounding around the paddock jumping off all fours. A very amusing sight we never tire of.
Tilly, Buttercup, Daisy and Mistletoe the cows are hopefully all in calf and should be due at the beginning of next year. We look forward to their arrival as always.
We recently raised an orphaned duckling (Chirpy) here in the office. He is now fully grown and intergrated with all the other ducks. He very quickly forgot about his time with us and has become very independent!
We also have some chicks which we are raising at the moment. They are only a few days old and are gorgeous. As always though they will grow up incredibly quickly and will no doubt lose some of their cuteness.
Thats about all now for life on the farm.
Look out for our Summer special packages below. February and March are lovley months down here. Perfect for lazy days, swimming and BBQ's.
More news will come soon!!
